Lina was born and raised in Sweden. Doing a lot of theater growing up Lina decided at the age of 20 to study Software engineering. Only months away from getting her degree she started acting again in a theater group while she was abroad studying for her degree in Ireland at the Cork Institute of Technology. She was encouraged by her drama teacher to do more theater and while still in Ireland she applied to drama school in Sweden thinking she would audition but not be accepted right away.

A couple of months later Lina moved to Stockholm after a successful audition and started studying theater at the prestigious Calle Flygares School of Theater. During her time at school she participated in numerous play productions and did some small appearances in TV and film. A year after graduating, Lina decided to put her all into acting and moved from Stockholm to Los Angeles. Lina immediately started studying at the respected Stella Adler Academy of Acting in Hollywood. She did an audition for the well known actress/acting teacher Beverly Leech, who helped her into the last year of their program. Lina ended up studying only the last 9 months of the program but has since returned many times to study the Adler technique in the schools advanced scene study classes to always better her acting skills.

Lina, like many other foreign actors in Los Angeles, could not work during her time in school. After a year Lina got her green card and permanent work permit. A feat in itself! She soon after started working and has recently joined SAG (Screen Actors Guild). She has also joined the respectable Lewis & Beal Talent agency where she is represented by the accomplished agent Katie Floyd.
